While I will always dog the Saints for their inability to play defense, they’ve been rewarding their betting backers this year. By going 3-1 ATS on the season, despite a 2-2 SU record, the Saints are proving a force in the betting world.
They have to prove they can continue that against the Vikings, perhaps the biggest letdown in NFL betting this season.
The Vikings have averaged 139.5 rushing yards, a paltry 171.5 passing yards and only 17.8 points per game. For a team that runs so damn well, it’s surprising that they can’t get their asses in the endzone. Certainly Gus Ferrotte has something to do with it, but the Vikings couldn’t string two good series together to save their skins, and their passing defense remains one of the worst in the league.
