The Cleveland Browns (2-3 SU, 3-2 ATS) are beaming after winning their second straight game. On Sunday they will travel to our nation’s capital to face the Washington Redskins (4-2 SU & ATS) in NFL action that is scheduled to begin at 4:15 PM ET at FedEx Field (natural turf) in Landover, MD.
The Browns had a big night on Monday, rambling for 454 total yards in the 35-14 win that broke the long road winning streak of the Giants. Derek Anderson, who kept his jersey clean all night, threw for 310 yards and found both Braylon Edwards and Darnell Dinkins for touchdowns. Donte Stallworth is back in action, and Kellen Winslow should be available as well, which would give Cleveland the healthiest compliment of receivers it’s had yet.

Still, there were danger signs. The Giants gained 7.2 yards per rush (which is not inconsistent with what the Browns have been doing this year – 4.7 ypc allowed), and that should worry Cleveland’s defensive staff, since Washington (4.6 ypc average thus far) can be counted on to use a steady diet of “Clinton Portis left” along with “Clinton Portis right.” We don’t know when Jason Campbell will throw his first interception of the season, but he hasn’t done it so far (none in 179 attempts). And we can’t see a way that Anderson is going to run wild, even with Stallworth and Winslow in the fold, against this quick, talented Washington secondary.
