Jonathan Crompton completed 12 of 16 passes for 114 yards on Saturday (August 9th, 2008) but was picked off once by Demetrice Morley, who nearly had another interception on a play that whistled dead.
Gerald Jones finished with five catches for 64 yards and practiced lining up at quarterback, running twice for eight yards. Josh Briscoe caught two passes for 50 yards, including one for 37 yards that ended up being the longest pass of the day.
The defense easily stuffed the running game as Montario Hardesty finished with 21 yards on eight carries, Creer had 5 yards on nine carries and Poole ended with 11 yards on nine carries.
I didn’t see very many runs up the middle. We’re going to continue to look for pass rush…
